Blakev Review: Is blakev.store Scam or Legit? Find Out!

Do you want to buy garden fairy ornaments from Blakev? Read this review to find out why our scam detector gave blakev.store a poor trust score.

According to FTC, online shopping and negative reviews is the second most reported fraud category in 2021. As a result of this, we have taken the responsibility of reviewing products, stores, websites etc. for our reader’s financial safety.

What is blakev.store Website?

Blakev located at blakev.store is an online store that deals in variety of handmade decorations like dancing naughty spirits, garden fairies, solar powered outdoor LED lights, etc. And these items are been offered for very cheap prices.

Unfortunately, Blakev is another online shopping fraud. During our investigations we discovered the following drawbacks –

  • It is owned by a suspicious company called ME&D LTD.
  • The trusted Seals on the website are fake, and not from the authorized organizations.
  • Not linked to a working social media page

At this point you should be thinking of aborting mission! But if you’re still keen on shopping from this store, continue reading!

Other Reasons why you shouldn’t shop from blakev.store;

Shipping & Delivery

Blakev Store creates the impression that its physical store or warehouse is located in London. However, this is not so. The Company address is a virtual one that is used to gain buyers trust.

In reality, it operates from China, so shipping & delivery takes weeks, or months even. Meanwhile the company has already been blacklisted for dubious activities, for eg; bait and switch scam.

Customer Complaints

Costumers who shopped from this store have left reviews online stating that they received an entirely different item. In most cases, the fairies were many inches smaller. Also, all efforts to contact the store for refund were unsuccessful.

A customer has this to say about Blakev-

The product is just horrible. I was going to give it to a friend but too embarrassed to give it to her. Don’t buy this product it’s really small and people walk right by it and don’t see it.

Return Policy

This store’s refund and exchange policy is not favorable to shoppers. Unlike most known stores, customers have to pay shipping fee when returning an item. Why this doesn’t necessarily make it fraudulent, we’ve seen cases were the return shipping fee is higher than the cost of item bought. This is one action most dubious sites use in frustrating customers.

Stolen Contents

Blakev.store makes use of contents stolen from other websites. As can be seen on the Terms of Service page, the content was stolen from Fantasywire.co.uk. On further investigations, we discovered the handmade fairy pictures were made by Robin.

Each sculpture sells for about £15,000. It is a family business, with Robin’s wife, daughter and son helping to produce sculptures, photographs and make-your-own kits

Hundreds of people have been scammed by fake websites claiming to sell these fairy ornaments. BBC even did an article about the copyright theft here.

Is blakev.store Legit?

From the crucial points noted above, blakev.store has a lot of red-flags. This online store is owned by a fraudulent company stealing the works of a UK based sculptor.

Like most fraudulent e-commerce sites, Blakev uses super cheap discounts to attract customers. But when orders are placed, customers receive a different item instead of what was ordered. A classic case of bait and switch scam.

Unfortunate customers receive nothing at all, and have no means of contacting the store.

Conclusion:

From all indications, blakev.store is not an authentic online store. It has a poor trust score, and as such not recommended by us.

Just like Peetlos, Mondreamy, BellaTrends, Hsbrace, Usgoodssale, and other reported suspicious websites, customers wouldn’t receive the item they ordered but a cheap item or nothing at all.

Have you been scammed?- Do This

Shopping from this store exposes customers to the risk of hacked credit card and overcharged fees. Also, customers would either receive an inferior item, a different cheaper item, or nothing at all.

Therefore, it is advised to file complaints to your bank and request for a new credit (debit) card. On the other hand, if you used Paypal as a method of payment, you should document (screenshot) the transactions for future purposes.

Yes, it is true that online shopping has made life easier, however when ordering things online check out the following-

How old is the website? Does it provide return address? Are there customer reviews online? Do the social media icons work?

Always remember you can get the items from trusted sellers on Amazon, like the ones provided above. One of the advantages of shopping from amazon is the return policy. If you are not happy with your order, you can always return your items and get your money back.

  1. Yes ..I ordered The naughty spirits set set $439 on August 12th and now it’s September 15th and I’ve received nothing Try to contact with no Response at all…. Totally disgusted gonna call my credit card company and dispute it’s a fraudulent company…

    1. 439?? Omg! I paid like 130 for the set and just received. I knew it would take a long time so I didn’t even think about it and they arrived today. I knew it wasn’t going to be quality but still rather shocked at such a blatant bait and switch. What you get is pretty much crap. Flat fairies but the dandelions are the only 3d part of it and they aren’t as pictured either.

      1. I am also disappointed. I did get the items, but yes, poor quality. AND no instructions or photos. Does anyone have a photo of the original ad so I can see how it should look. Thanks.

  2. I too wads scammed. I
got a different design than what I ordered. I expected it to be gold in colour but got a tin colour. It also appears to be at least 5xs smaller. Also there were NO directions, so it was just a waste of $ 40.00. Luckily not as costly as others.

  3. I got ripped off for $80 for 4 sculptures. Sent flat fairies instead of the 3-D ones. From a Facebook ad, so after I dispute this on my AmEx, will contact Facebook to make sure they take these down and try to get our money back!

  4. I ordered 2 sets of Naughty Spirits. Two days after I placed the order I wanted to double check what I ordered. The website link wouldn’t go anywhere. Contacted ‘BlakeV’ and was told it was down for maintenance, 2 days later an entirely different site came up. Hmm. Items arrived and are nothing like the ad pics. I am so embarrassed that I got myself scammed. Told them I wanted to return them n was told I had to pay shipping. I said no way am I paying shipping on a fraudulent sale. They don’t want to budge. I informed them that I will be taking the matter up with PayPal. Please take the time and go after this scammer!!!!

  5. I was scammed as well. I received and item, but NOTHING like they advertised on their website! I was going to return it out of spite, but they probably would say that they never received it, or that it didn’t fall within their return policy and not return my money.
