Georgia just filed a lawsuit to jump on the settlement bandwagon, claiming Publicis used some pretty shady tactics. Apparently, one of their subsidiaries even gave doctors recording devices to capture private chats with patients, then used that info to push opioids.

Publicis is settling the opioid lawsuit, but they’re not admitting they did anything wrong. They just want to put an end to all the legal drama. As part of the deal, they’ve stop pushing opioids and pay over some serious cash to the states. And California is getting $34 million out of the deal.
