Hikma Pharmaceuticals is handing over $150 million to settle claims that it played a role in making the opioid crisis worse. You see, some states and localities were on their case, saying they didn’t report shady opioid orders from questionable distributors.

How Much Settlement

As part of the deal, Hikma will pay up $115 million in cash and either $35 million worth of opioid addiction treatment meds or straight-up cash. And that’s that, according to the Office of the New York State Attorney General.
