About User Interviews.com

User Interviews is a market research website established in 2015 where you can get paid to share your opinions and thoughts in interviews, group discussions, and other research studies.

Here’s a little TLDR about this webiste

  • Take surveys anytime, anywhere with an internet connection? Yes
  • Earn up to $50 to $400? Not certain
  • Receive payment via PayPal, Amazon gift cards, Visa gift cards, or other digital gift card? Yes
  • Qualify for your first study within 24 hours of joining? Yes

How It Works

Once you sign up for User Interviews, you can check out different projects to join. These projects show you how much you’ll get paid, how long they’ll take, what type of study it is, and what the researcher wants. You can click on each one to learn more and apply. After you fill out a short survey for the ones you’re interested in, you might get a message if you’re picked. Once you finish a study, you’ll get paid through PayPal, Amazon gift card, Visa gift card, or another digital gift card. Usually, you’ll qualify for your first study within a day of signing up.

Note: Before you start doing any paid research studies, make sure your computer has a webcam and microphone. Most studies will ask you to record a video, so having these is super important.

My User Interviews Test Results

To find out how much you can realistically earn on user interviews.com, I signed up and completed my profile and answered all the demographic questions.

As part of my test, I worked 10 minutes per day over 10 consecutive days. The study involved taking screenshots of ads using the search engine required. I gave feedback to the researchers, shared my opinions, likes & dislikes. Then, I answered a series of open ended questions.

In addition, there are times that the survey question either don’t make sense or ask repetitive questions. The cash payment is the problem. It’s been 8 days since i participated in the session and i have not been paid (Paypal payment).

Two Ways To Earn On

User interviews like any other get paid website has a few ways to earn points to cash out for money or gift cards. You can earn between $10 to $50 per paid research study you complete.

To make money with User Interviews, you can take part in paid studies. Just apply for the ones you like, complete them as instructed, and get paid if your work is approved. There are four main types of studies: one-on-one interviews, group discussions, longer studies, and tasks you can do on your own. One-on-one interviews involve chatting directly with a researcher. Group discussions involve talking with a few others online.

Another way is through referrals. Invite friends to join and earn rewards when they complete studies. However, the rewards are usually in the form of gift cards, not cash.

How To Cash Out

When you finish a paid study, you’ll earn money or gift cards right away. How you get paid depends on the study. Some give you cash through PayPal or direct bank transfer, while others offer electronic gift cards like Amazon. Gift cards usually arrive within a couple of days, but cash payments might take longer, up to 10 business days. User Interviews handles gift card payments, while researchers handle cash payments.

Can You Really Earn On User Interviews.com: User Complaints

Yes you can, however lots of people who have tried User interviews are not satisfied with the results. Currently the platform is rated 3.4 out of 247 reviews on Trustpilot which is considered average. Some users have issues getting paid after completing tasks, issues with registration and misleading tactics. Here are some of the complaints

Clever con, though. They lure you with what appear to be easy incentives, then during your “registration” and lengthy “application” they harvest boat loads of all your data, demos and other info. This gives them what they need from you at no cost to them. Then you get told you “might” be eligible to participate. Sounds like tons of issues getting compensated, too.

You fill out maybe 100 screeners over 6 mos after you are “matched”. 1 out of maybe 40 comes thru. Then you go to confirm attendance sometimes (10 min after email notice) & “study is full, Try another study”. Paid for 1 study out of 100 tried for. VERY rude & sloppy procedures. Titles are so generic or undescriptive sometimes you do not know what they want initially. So waste more time.

Pros: Advantages

  1. You can make extra cash in your free time.
  2. You can work from home and set your own schedule.
  3. Some studies pay well, up to $250-300 per hour.
  4. You can cash out your earnings via PayPal, Amazon, or Visa gift card.

Cons: Disadvantages

  1. It’s not always easy to get selected for studies.
  2. You don’t get paid for filling out screener surveys, even though they’re quick.
  3. The platform is only available in limited countries: United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Who Can Take Part

Anyone can sign up for User Interviews, but most studies are for people in the US. So, if you’re not in the US, you might not qualify for as many studies.

Final Thoughts

User Interviews like any survey site, won’t replace your full-time job; however, it is a completely legit way to make extra money in your free time. Keep in mind that you won’t always be accepted for every paid study you apply to. It’s out of your control, so just apply to as many studies as you think you can handle.
