There is an ongoing [email protected] Scam which says someone asked for a verification code. Beware! Its a scam! The text contains a malicious link that aims to steal your personal and financial information.

Currently, more than hundred people have complained of receiving this [email protected] Scam this April 2023.

The text is sent by scammers who want to get your personal information so they can use it to scam you. The post frightens and trick potential victims into clicking the link or following their instructions by falsely claiming they have violated Facebook account someone asked for a verification code.

Don’t dare click on the link. It’s all Scam! The text messages most times contain viruses, spywares, malwares, which are harmful to devices and can hack and destroy your mobile phone.

Meanwhile, there is an ongoing discussion about this scam on Reddit. Many people received this scam email even though they did not request any recovery code. Hence, it is of your best interest to avoid clicking on any link attached to it and not respond to the email.

How To Identify Facebook Scam Text:

  • People who you’ve never met face-to-face asking you for money.
  • People asking you for upfront fees in exchange for giving you a prize, loan, or something else you have “won”
  • Someone asking you to move the conversation to email instead of remaining on Facebook Messenger.
  • The text is asking for personal information or banking information
  • The message is unsolicited and contains an attachment.

You should delete the text message immediately as it is obviously a phishing scam. Meanwhile, do not forget to inform your family and friends. Please they should not click on the link if and when they receive such message.
