RBFCU Scam Text: Fake Transaction Alert! Beware!

There is an ongoing RBFCU scam text whereby scammers are contacting people telling them that their funds have been placed on hold due to recent transactions. Beware! It’s a scam.

Lots of people have received this text message from RBFCU. Unsurprisingly, this text is not from Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union. The text was sent by scammers whose goal is to get people’s personal and financial information so as to defraud them.

RBFCU-Alert: Dear Customer, Due to Recent Transactions we placed on funds on hold. Kindly verify here to remove and continue. Http://auth0verif.com/gh2d

The RBFCU Scam Text 2022 – How does This Scam work?

It is a fraudulent message sent by scammers who intend to get your personal and financial information. RBFCU being an authentic financial institution, scammers are now impersonating them by sending fake text to potential victims telling them that their funds have been placed on hold due to recent transactions and they should click on a link to remove it and continue. Don’t be deceived. It is all scam!

Clicking on the link exposes you to viruses, spywares, malwares, which are harmful to devices and can hack and destroy your mobile phone. Beware!

You should delete the text message immediately as it is obviously a phishing scam. Meanwhile, do not forget to inform your family and friends. Please they should not click on the link if and when they receive such message.
