Marlin Recovery Text Message From Tammy – Another Scam!

The website www.marlinrecovery.com just wants your info but gives no tangible information about themselves. On further investigations using nationwide business license search, we discovered this is a business called Marlin Recovery Resources out of a house in Alabama that operated for one year from 2016-2017 then closed.

But is Marlin Recovery Solutions Legit?

They claim they have been operating since 2001 but the website MarlinRecovery.com was registered on December 11th, 2020. Their webpage was only first seen online on February 11th 2021 by the Internet Archive. Google has only found 5 pages for this website. What then is the link between 2001 and 2021?

Furthermore, the person who owns the domain has made all ownership information private. Only 2 results appear when you search “Marlin Recovery LLC” There’s no business address.

The phone calls are reported to have messages being left by Tammy, with the same voice and the exact same message. These calls are being auto blocked by Robo Killer and are being called a Scam by many receivers.

Is Marline Recovery Solutions really a Scam?

How Does Marlin Recovery Solutions Work

They might mention that they have received a Fax document or some sort of complaint and that there is a pending legal matter or action about to filed against you to create the sense of urgency.

When you visit the site it said they did find an account attached to your number. The next message would be a request for the last 4 digits of my SSN.

This is quite suspicious!

However, a lot of people have attest to the fact that MARLIN RECOVERY SOLUTIONS IS NOT A SCAM!

This is what Sophie Turner has to say about this message-

I had an account in collections I completely forgot about. They worked with me and gave me a super low settlement and got my paid in full letter within the hour after paying. I asked about Tammy and she apparently is one of their locator girls who calls people trying to locate the correct person. YouTube

  1. Got the message no info just seems like a collections person. W a threat to send me to a call center? No File no company mentioned they’re asking on behalf no paper work so GO TO HELL MARLIN

  2. I have experienced two phone calls re an unpaid debt. When I questioned who the debt was with, date of the debt and my address, they refused to answer until they had a full confirmation of the SS no. They claim to be licensed to do business in several states, however I find no business proof of their having filed to do business in any state. Why can we not get this type of individual off the phone and web. They basically do no have balls enough to steal and too lazy to work.

    1. I just received a voice mail from a “Chris” with Marlin Recovery…. every voice mail I have received is demanding I take care of a debt in a rude, condescending tone… however, they never use my name in the calls or anything that makes me think I owe them anything! They can suck my left tit before they get anything out of me!!

      1. I got a call from a chris as well, asking if this is a correct number of person they are looking for, yet never once said who the person is that he’s looking for. Asked to at least call back and let him know if he had the right person or not. Still never mentioning “who” this person is..

      2. I have received several calls from Chris also. The most recent was at 6 am! Who the hell calls about business at 6am????

  3. They’re full of crap. Tried telling me I owe from a loan from 10 years ago. Then told me I needed to pay my bills and not be a loser. Lol
I told him he’s full of crap and a scammer. You can’t not pay online loans they’re attached to your bank account for automatic payments weekly. Two years ago I received a settlement check in the mail. Apparently a lot of those online loan companies were sued for taking too much money. I’m guessing if I stiffed any of them I wouldn’t have gotten a check for $600.

  4. I just recently received a call a text message but it was very fishy, they had some information not all correct. They ndwere very pushy about a payment plan I choose to make them send me more information about the account first. I will see where it goes from here .

    1. Got call from Chris they are not legit at all and even if they are just keep in mind the statue of limitations in your state so if you owe a debt that is more than 5 years old they can go to hell if you pay it you will only hurt your credit just learn to ignore it

  5. I got a call demanding money from me. I know I don’t have any collections and they said I do. I sent them two emails demanding proof with my signature on it, and under the FDCPA act, I told them they have 30 days from the last call or their claim is considered invalid and VOID! To date, nothing in the mail!

Also, their website said their agents are online, yet no one responded for minutes! Zilch! Also, no MAILING ADDRESS! So this is officially a SPAM! In my eyes! THEY CAN KISS MY A$$ FOR ALL I CARE AND I HOPE KARMA HITS THEM HARD….ALL THOSE INVOLVED WITH THIS SCAM AND OTHER SCAMS AROUND THE WORLD! They should pay for all their scams to those who they scammed! For pain and suffering!

  6. Marlin is nothing but a scam all they do is threaten people and enjoy doing it.there people are nothing but India trash that scam people out of hard earned money.if u look up the company it’s clearly dra who also is a scam.this company or scam just be put down like a dog fast whatever u do don’t believe these scammers they will take your money and use it for there personal fun.

  7. I have been dealing with calls, voicemails and texts from this company for months. I contacted the original creditor of the debt they claim to be collecting and traced it forward through each sale of the debt. I was able to find the actual company who last purchased it and they still own the account. Multiple people there told me Marlin has no legal reason to be contacting me. I have only been able to speak to a human at Marlin twice on the phone and twice in texts. All phone conversations have been threatening and derogatory. Every single person has refused to give me a mailing address so I can send a cease and desist letter. I finally contacted an attorney, who just so happened to already have an open case against them for someone else. They determined Marlin is NOT a credible collection agency and it is indeed a scam. Do NOT give these people your money. Contact the original creditor of the account they claim to be collecting on.

    1. I been getting random calls from Marlin Recovery different person each time i ingore the call and they always leave an voicemail and always different number

    2. I think we should start a class action lawsuit against Marlin Recovery LLC and see where it goes!! They are predators shaking a tree to see what might fall out of it. They contact as many folks as they can and hope that the 10% rule applies, and those 10% pay them money using fear tactics and threats.

I would like to meet Chris and Tammy face to face.

  8. I been getting random calls from Marlin Recovery different person each time i ingore the call and they always leave an voicemail and always different number

  9. I’ve gotten four or five of those calls and voice mails,I try to catch the call so as to work up some entertaining dialogue, they are not the kings of the queen’s English. If you follow where I am heading.

  10. Chris from Marlin recovery called me at 7:04 this morning. Any reputable collection agency would not call before 8 am as it is illegal. I get messages all the time from them. The number, if they leave one, never works. I know I don’t owe on a collection. Scammers!

  11. Got an call from this person this morning!
Yeah, this is a chris marlin recovery. Again, we had left a message and it’s still not heard back. Uh We do need to ascertain whether or not this is a good phone number at this point or not. Um not. We’re gonna have to send it to the skip tracing department. Uh You can either call us back again if you prefer electronic communication. Uh We do need you to go to the website today and get it resolved, Marlon recovery dot com, M A R L I N recovery dot com or just give me a call back at this number. Again we do need to get it handled today, please. Very important. Please return the call. Thank you very much if you would like to opt out of future messages from us. 12. Update from my last post!
Got an call from this person this morning!
Here’s the phone number they were calling from!

  13. I received the same message from a so called “Chris” but he didn’t call me from the number Tammy provided…that number is 848-258-1190. The number is in my scam shield and it stated this evening they called about 8 to 10 times before leaving a voicemail. The all can kiss where the sun don’t shine. Be careful people!!!

  14. I’ve been receiving calls from Marlin Recovery off and on for months. Also a recording from a private number posing as somebody threatening to serve papers to my home or business. It has never been a real person, different numbers. Very suspicious. when I go to marlinrecovery.com you can enter your number to pull your account. Problem is, these people keep calling, numerous times a day and they are calling for someone I’ve never heard of. I’ve tried to stop it but nothing works.

  15. I’ve heard from these people for months. I thought they were finally done but nope again today chris calls. They have to be using a script because my message was word for word as those above. They also call from a different number area code and all every time. Fact is I owe no one a penny and haven’t in over 20yrs. So it is definitely a scam.

  16. Thank God for websites, and commenters, like this one. Thankyou, sabireviews, for your thoroughness on this fake company..
I got an obnoxious voicemail from Chris demanding I call him directly back at “this number he’s calling from” to settle a debt, or he’ll have to send it to his skip tracing dept. He made it sound like he’s already spoken to someone before, and that person agreed to pay.
He didn’t give a name of who he is addressing his voicemail to nor did he ever provide his number. Kept repeating to go to the website to resolve the issue urgently or he’s sic’n his imaginary dogs on ya.
I know for FACT I have no outstanding debt because I just bought a house literally 5 days ago. Thanks to COVID-19 impacting peoples jobs, my financial records, and background were meticulously reviewed every 60 days since November 2020 whilst having my home built.. Don’t you think the Loan Officer, the Loan Underwriters, and the Bank would’ve asked me to justify an outstanding debt?!?!
Ha! Silly little scammer! Your games won’t work here.

  17. I was very disappointed when I read this blog post. I thought that Marlin Recovery Messages was a legitimate program. I am now convinced that it is a scam.
