Esaver Watt Elon Musk Scam Energy Saver: Avoid This Sham Electricity Device!

Have you come across an advertisement online of Esaver Watt energy saving device endorsed by Elon Musk & Tesla? Don’t be deceived! The product ‘Esaver Watt’ is a scam and the endorsement from Elon Musk is fake.

The ad make the following claims;

  • Elon Musk’s New Electricity Saving Invention Has Virginia Residents Saving Up to 90% Off Their Monthly Electric Bill. Electric Power Companies Are Demanding It Be Banned Immediately!”
  • Elon Musk’s New Electricity Saving Invention Has California Residents Saving Up to 90% Off Their Monthly Electric Bill.”

In reality these claims are not true. They are just pure sales gimmick. Even the so called Fox News article is fake. Fox News never wrote this article and scammers are simply pretending to be Fox News.

Esaver Watt Energy Saver: Why It’s a Scam

EsaverWatt energy saver is not endorsed by Elon Musk. A reverse image search on the image of Elon Musk holding an energy saving device showed Elon Musk was never originally holding anything in his hand. It is simply a Photoshopped image.

Professional electricians have taken a close look at Esaver Watt Energy Saver device and see it’s nothing but a scam, a fad product. It cannot slash your power bill up to 1% or even 50%. It also cannot filter dirty electricity as claimed. Meanwhile, Voltex, Voltbox, Watt Rescue, Ecowatt, Miracle Watt, are names which it was called in the past. When you click on the links, you’ll see tons of complaints from users calling it BS. If I were you I wouldn’t go an inch near it, except of course you just want to use it as a toy.

The Truth About Esaver Watt Energy Saving Device

Esaver Watt is not equipped to save energy, it only contains a capacitor placed across the power line. The capacitor also draws 100MA current from the power line so if you have a device that draws 100MA inductive current the capacitor would cancel it. This means it wont draw more when you need more making the device somewhat useless. This actually might do a little bit of power factor correction, but you are not billed for reactive power at home. So it saves you nothing in money.

It also cannot reduce electricity consumption. What you should know is this ‘There is NO WAY any device of this size can stabilize a home electrical AC supply or produce the savings advertised. Electrical consumption is based on total power consumed and NOT phase corrected VAR.

Most appliances used at home such as heater, electric cooker, air conditioner, etc.. use 230 – 240 VAC. As such it is totally impossible for a device plugged into any 110 – 120 VAC outlet to “reduce electrical consumption” by phase corrective techniques as consumed by equipment connected to each 120 VAC leg providing 240 VAC power. This is simply impossible.

Meanwhile, Esaver Watt poses the danger of electrocution. The capacitor inside is not rated for connection across the AC line. It is a fire hazard if there is a lightning strike nearby. Capacitors connected directly to the AC line are supposed to have an “X” rating for safety.

Esaver Watt Alternative: 5 Easy Ways to Reduce Your Electricity Consumption

Below are top 5 ways to reduce your electricity consumption and get a lower electric bill the coming months –

Shutdown your computer

If you work from home or run an office, your computer is likely the culprit causing you high electricity bill. Computers are some of the biggest energy users in office buildings. Turn your monitor off at night and ditch the screensaver.

2. Choose Energy Saving Bulbs

For your information, LED bulbs are the most energy efficient lighting option. It use 75% less electricity than incandescent bulbs. The also have no mercury, and last about 25 times longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. So opt for LED bulbs over incandescent bulbs.

3. Unplug Idle Electronics.

You have devices like televisions, microwaves, scanners, printers, etc.? Unplug them after use! They use standby power, even when off. Some chargers continue to pull small amounts of energy, even when plugged in (a good judge of this is if a charger feels warm to the touch). In the US, the total electricity consumed by idle electronics equals the annual output of 12 power plants (EPA).

4. Use a Power Strip to Reduce Your Plug load.

To avoid forgetting to unplug your devices, use a power strip to turn all devices off at once. Flipping the switch on your power strip has the same effect as unplugging each socket from the wall, preventing phantom energy loss.

5. Turn off the lights

This is very important. Especially when you’re not making use of the light. Just one switch and you’re done!

Conclusion

Esaver Watt is a scam Energy Saving Device. The claims that it can reduce electricity consumption and slash power bills are entirely false and without evidence. Users of this device have called it out for what it is ‘A Scam’ as it does not save energy or reduce electricity bills. It’s also not promoted by Elon Musk or endorsed by CNN.
