So, if your car needs fixing because of this issue, Subaru will foot the bill for up to eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Plus, they’re also covering clutch replacements for two years, no matter how many miles you drive.

If you’ve had to fix your Subaru Ascent’s transmission a couple of times because of this problem, you could get a voucher. Depending on how many times you’ve been to the repair shop, you could get a voucher worth $400 for two visits or $750 if you’ve had to go three times or more.

And if you’ve already paid out of your own pocket for these repairs, you might be able to get some of that money back. As long as you haven’t already been reimbursed and you’ve got proof of what you paid, you could get a refund for those repair costs.
