My Experience Using Refress Hair Darkening Shampoo Bar
I bought two bars of the hair darkening Shampoo bar from refressband.com, using its 15% discount code. When the product arrived, there was a free shampoo brush and scalp exfoliator in it. I have used shampoo bar for 3 weeks. I have used the first bar consistently everyday and somedays twice a day (gym days).
Each time I use it, it feels fantastic. My scalp feels very clean and fresh. It smells so good and lathers very well. I’ve also noticed that my hair is now softer and fuller. However, there’s no change in my grey hair.
I have light salt and pepper gray hair since I was in my late 20s, and there’s still no change after consistently using this bar shampoo for 3 weeks. Meanwhile, the claim that each bar lasts up to 50 -75 washes is false. My first bar lasted only three weeks (I admit I was using it daily) Still, with the claims, I expected it to last up to a month.
Does Refress Hair Darkening Shampoo Bar Really Work?
The short answer to this question is No It does not darken hair as claimed. Even after using it consistently for three weeks, it didn’t bring back my hair’s natural color.
So, don’t expect a miracle. While it won’t suddenly turn hair dark, it makes thinning hair long and full, it might boost the hair’s volume or strengthen strands to prevent hair loss and breakage.

Instead of using shampoos like Refress that do not actually reverse dark hair, you can do doing the following-
- Use Bhringraj oil or Amla oil to massage your scalp before hair wash.
- Using hair masks with amla, henna, and fenugreek seed powder will help you maintain your black hair.
- Avoid using shampoos that contain harsh chemicals.
I’ve started seeing some results since I started using those tips.
Can A Shampoo Reverse Grey Hair
Yes, it can. Quality Shampoos and dyes may reverse the greying of your hair, but it’s a temporary solution
Conclusion
Refree Shampoo Bar claims to darken gray hair and restore natural hair color. However, just like Mane Shampoo bar, it didn’t really restore my hair’s natural color. It only worked in removing dirt and dandruff from my hair. It also made my hair smooth.
