You should compare the price difference on Amazon shops below –

No Business Address

No mention of the store’s physical location anywhere on the website? Looks suspicious but not surprising. Fraudulent stores and anonymity go hand in hand.

Poor Customer Support

The website does not provide an email or phone number? Bro, you need to take a walk. This doesn’t look good. It really doesn’t!

Low Trust Score

What is the website’s trust score on Scam Detector? Is it 1%? Bro, your heels should be behind you now. How old is the website? Below a year? Damn! run fassterrrr!

Just like BBC had mentioned in its article, there’s a fast rising chain of fake oculus websites. These dubious sites use the brand logo and website design of the real Oculus website to deceive buyers.

So what happens when you make a purchase?

You’d get debited but you wouldn’t receive a confirmation email or email containing the order’s tracking number.

There’s absolutely no way to contact the store, so you either live with your loss or try to file a chargeback through your bank. But well, the chances of getting your money back is pretty slim.

  1. I saw an ad on paypal about someone selling oculus for 129.00. I took the bait and bought it. I quickly received an order confirmation and a few days later I got the tracking number. The item was sent to someone in Baltimore. I live in Cali so that’s a bit of a huge mistake. I am giving him 24 hours to send it or refund me or I’ll accuse him of mail fraud. That’s a felony with 20 years and penalty added. Anyone else see these guys?

    1. Yup i just bought it, didnt see it was a scam until it showed me a paypal transaction to some asian scipt name. Mfers

  2. I was online hoping to see if oculus(facebook) would be willing too trade the 64gb for the 128gb since there the same price. Then I came across the oculus quest 2 256gb for only 75$. I new it had to be fake but I had to check anyway just in case and it was obviously fake. I would never buy such an expensive item without checking multiple websites anyway.

    1. I gave my Credit Card to my 13 year old and she found the Oculus on line for 75$. And of course it is a scam. Even though the charge hasn’t been taken out of account they still can’t stop it. Very frustrating.
