Have you been getting letters of text message from LCS debt collector? Do you think Lcsdr.com is a scam platform? This review of LCS debt collector aims to answer the questions you have about the letters you’ve been receiving.

What is Lcsdr.com?

Lcsdr Com is the official website for a debt collector company called LCS, that has been operating for quite a long time ( 15 years) under the company
1ST LOCATE UK LIMITED. So how does the platform works? they help people collect debts, and receive their commission in the end. Phone calls, letters and text messages are ways they inform people that they have some unpaid debts.

However, a lot of people have been complaining of receiving calls from LCS, when they owe no one any dime. So this leaves us asking ‘Could there be a mistake elsewhere or is this a debt scam that uses calls to coerce you into paying what you don’t owe?”

How Does Lcsdrc.com Work?

This company buy debts in bulk. They have sales guys that target banks, institutions, mobile phone operators and buy a large collection of these debts for a % of the debt.

How?….Let’s say your debt from Bank ‘D’ is an old credit card and was for £1678, this company buys it for 10-20% of original value. But they will demand full amount, plus their own charges on top from you.

Picture this; they pay around £300 and try to get over £2000 off you. A letter is sent to you, asking for the amount, plus charges back. Then they follow with series of phone calls and text messages that can be quite frustrating.

Reviews of LCS Debt Collector

Though the calls could be a nuisance, we have every reason to believe that this company is legit, not scam. Why? you may ask. The truth is a 1ST LOCATE UK LIMITED is a real company.

Debts are a very upsetting topic and you rather want to think that LCS is some kind of a scam, but it’s not true. This company even has a page on Google! however there are a handful of grievances online from people.

A lot of people seem to agree that it is a scam. Below, is what someone has to say about LCS debt collector-

LCS are trying to get paid for debt that you don’t owe. Neither to them nor to the company they are “recovering” it for. Just trying to sponge anyone they can reach. Ignore the communication and look online how to deal with such companies in the matter that they can understand. Talking to them on the phone produces zero results.

  1. Well… I just got 1012GBP payment request. I have owed for a joint tax credit claim from 2012-15 to HMRC. I did not get anything from HMRC, only now this payment request from LCS. I called HMRC to investigate and unfortunately I got this sum confirmed. Apparently I should be responsible for half of it, as it comes from joint claims though. Butt My ex did not get anything, and I am asked for the full amount right away. Gotta arrange repayments somehow… Hopefully they will not ask her for full amount as well…

    Nevertheless, legit…

  2. I got an email from this lot yesterday. Its for an alleged debt with SSE.
I know I don’t owe it as I paid it off several months ago.

They have very few details, they sound too sympathetic for a debt agency, the website led me here, not to them and they have many details wrong or missing.

I spammed them as its a load of rubbish. I have mental health issues and physical issues and these people are con artists taking advantage of Covid to get money. That’s a scam.

I have no intention of taking any notice or replying and I am certainly not interested in calling them.
They can get lost. If I get a letter its going in the bin. I am sick of random companies getting my details for money I don’t owe or no longer owe.

They should write in any case and they should send something showing they are authorised to act for SSE.
I will certainly not be taking the bait.

  3. Texts out of the blue
From LCS saying I owe HMRC money. As far as I am aware I don’t owe anything I’m on Paye and it is all sorted through that

It is disgraceful that HMRC don’t deal with this themselves if they think something is owed

  4. we rented a room in a five bedroom house in January all bills included, and just received a letter from them claming we owe debts from last year December.

how and why they have decided i am the responsible person for the house, and not the landlord is beyond me, however i am not going to call them, i passed to the landlord and let them sort out whatever is the issue.

in the meantime having read this article, it cannot be right they can pick a random name in the property and start a campaign of harassment without proper due diligence.

That sir is a scam and the FIA should clamp down on them

  5. HI ALL, yes we too have had scam letter from this company saying we owe money to Bulb electric company, but on checking its all paid up. They didn’t have our names, just to the house owner ,and as we sold the house its no longer us anyway, so definitely a scam. I will urge the new house owners to send the letter to the police (not sure who deals with such thing in the UK ), or maybe the bbc.
They maybe a valid company but either someone is using their name to defraud or there is inhouse fraud happening
