According to FTC, online shopping and negative reviews is the second most reported fraud category in 2021. As a result of this, we have taken the responsibility of reviewing products, stores, websites etc. for our reader’s financial safety.
What is cosy-feet.com Website?
Cosy Feet located at cosy-feet.com is an online store that sells home decoration items like Red Truck Christmas Tree, Christmas Tree, Wreaths, Wine Rack, Kitty Miniature Sculpture, etc. And these items are been offered for 50% discount price plus free shipping.
Unfortunately, Cosy-Feet is another online shopping fraud. During our investigations we discovered the following drawbacks –
- It is owned by a suspicious company Landbase Trading Co., Ltd.
- The website has only been functioning for few months
- It is selling items for prices that are too good to be true
- Has no Seal of Trust from authorized organizations like McAfee, PayPal, etc.
- Not linked to a working social media page
At this point you should be thinking of aborting mission! But if you’re still keen on shopping from this store, continue reading!
Other Reasons why you shouldn’t shop from cosy-feet.com;
Shipping & Delivery
Cosy-Feet has provided its company address as England, but it is a sham. Landbase Trading Co. Ltd was registered at the UK Companies House were it is very easy to register a company. You only need to provide pseudo identity and virtual address which you can rent from virtual address service providers.
In reality, the company operates from China. The London address is just a disguise to buy customer’s trust. So yeah, the products are coming from China not UK or USA like you thought. And like every store located in China, delivery takes weeks or months even.
Costumers who shopped from this store have left reviews online stating that they received an entirely different item. In most cases, the sculptures were many inches smaller and didn’t look like the Ad. Also, all efforts to contact the store for refund were unsuccessful.
A customer has this to say about Cosy-Feet-
They’re claiming they are being scammed by fakes as their works are being sold on various. Meanwhile they’re selling fakes of a legitimate artist‘s sculpture. Pathetic. When I contacted the company, they declined a return and initially offered a 10% refund. When I declined that, they upped it to 15% with no other option. This is a vastly overpriced piece of junk.Dawn Clemons
This store’s refund and exchange policy is just a sham. In reality there’s no way to get your money back as the customer service don’t reply mails.
cosy-feet.com has stolen the images of sculptures and works of legitimate artists. The real makers of those sculptures have not authorize Cosy Feet to sell their sculptures.
In reality, some of the sculpture sells for about £1000. And they are quite large, not the tiny replica sent by these scammers.
Early June, BBC did an article about the copyright theft here. Showing that hundreds of people have been scammed by fake websites claiming to sell these arts.
Is cosy-feet.com Legit?
From the crucial points noted above, cosy-feet.com has a lot of red-flags. This online store is owned by a fraudulent company stealing the works of legitimate sculptors.
Like most fraudulent e-commerce sites, this store uses super cheap discounts to attract customers. But when orders are placed, customers receive a different item instead of what was ordered. A classic case of bait and switch scam.
Unfortunate customers receive nothing at all, and have no means of contacting the store.
From all indications, cosy-feet.com is not an authentic online store. It has a poor trust score, and as such not recommended by us.
Just like Joostesy, Nctway, and other reported suspicious websites, customers wouldn’t receive the item they ordered but a cheap item or nothing at all.
Have you been scammed?- Do This
Shopping from this store exposes customers to the risk of hacked credit card and overcharged fees. Also, customers would either receive an inferior item, a different cheaper item, or nothing at all.
Therefore, it is advised to file complaints to your bank and request for a new credit (debit) card. On the other hand, if you used Paypal as a method of payment, you should document (screenshot) the transactions for future purposes.
Yes, it is true that online shopping has made life easier, however when ordering things online check out the following-
How old is the website? Does it provide return address? Are there customer reviews online? Do the social media icons work?
Always remember you can get the items from trusted sellers on Amazon, like the ones provided above. One of the advantages of shopping from amazon is the return policy. If you are not happy with your order, you can always return your items and get your money back.
