Michael Cribier, who’s leading the charge, says he got tons of messages even after telling Carvana to stop. They were calling him “Ian” and bugging him about trade-ins and buying a car. So, now they’re all taking Carvana to court, saying this goes against the rules laid out in the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

The people taking Carvana to court have come up with two groups – one for the National Do-Not-Call Registry and another for Carvana’s own “don’t-call-me” list.

They’re asking for $500 for every time Carvana broke the rules according to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). And if Carvana knew they were doing it and still kept at it, they want $1,500 per violation. Plus, they’re saying Carvana should foot the bill for the lawyers.

The people behind this lawsuit are pretty convinced that Carvana knew what they were doing, sending texts and calls without permission.
