Recurrent Scam

Oceanproject is a reoccurring scam. It was formerly known as Wildlife Mission, having same mission, same website design, same phone number and address.

After duping a lot of unsuspecting people, they shut down their website. Now they are back with a new website and name ‘OceanProject’. But it is the same fraudulent actives. You can see link to Wildlife reviews here, as can be seen in that link, more than 150 people never received their necklace.

In fact, the STC (Sea Turtle Conservancy) later issued a statement warning people about the scam. You can see the statement here.

What We Found Out About Oceanproject.com!

At first glance, Oceanproject appears to be a legitimate online store concerned about our ocean eco system. However, it is just a sham. Those who shopped from the store never received their necklace.

In fact, Ocean Project has not been authorized by Sea Turtle Conservancy organization, so there is no way they can give you a QR code to track your shack.

We don’t recommend this online store. We advise you to buy from trusted sellers on Amazon, as you can always get your money back if you’re not satisfied with your order.

  1. Our Aunt ordered 7 save the turtle necklaces from Oceanproject.co as Christmas gifts. Thinking she was not only giving a wonderful gift/necklace but, helping to also save the sea turtles. She received all 7 necklaces with cards of different turtles that could be tracked on rebrand.ly (an unsecured website). We were all excited to receive such a wonderful gift. I started researching it on the web as I wanted to offer such a wonderful gift to my granddaughters. Now, I am skeptical to order from them. Not concerned I will not receive the necklaces but concerned about if the tracking of the turtle is legitimate on an unsecured web site. At this point I am not even sure the tracking is real or just some kind of program or app type simulator. I cannot say for sure that the whole thing is a scam but the reports seem to lean toward it not really doing anything to help the creatures that they claim to help.
