I paid the shipping which went well. Then a few minutes later they tried to charge my card 155.00. Thank God my card company texted me to confirm that it was me actually making the purchase for 155.00. I said no and they didn’t get their 155.00 they tried to scam me out of. This looks legit but Do Not Fall for it!

This kind of scam is not new. It is a typical bait and switch scam, where scammers lure you in with giveaway or freebies but then trick you into signing up for a subscription. You wouldn’t discover this if you don’t read the tiny prints during your order & payment. In the end, instead of shipping fee, you’re paying for something you know nothing about. You will be debited from your credit card monthly.

Of course if you paid for the so called shipping you wouldn’t receive the Grill. Hundreds of people who fell for this scam, are yet to receive their any item even after waiting for almost two weeks.

Steps To Take In Order To Stay Safe And Avoid This Kind Of Scam;

Check the Domain age – How old is the website? (You can do so by visiting who.is)

Website Security Check – find out if the website is secured with SSL encryption. (https and padlock symbols).

Find Out Its Physical Location – Does The website provide return address? If Yes (Copy the address and paste on your browser. Google map would show if it is a real warehouse address or a residential address)

Check For Reviews – Are there customer reviews online? (It is advised that you sit it out if there are no customer reviews of the store. However if you’re not patient enough to wait you can send a mail to us to verify if the store is legit)

Find Out If It Has Social Media Presence – Do the social media icons work? (A lot of fraudulent websites provide social media buttons but they don’t work. It is advised that you check if the buttons really take you to the store’s social media page)
