ContactUp is allegedly a website that allows you to look up contact from all over the world. The website just asks you to search for contact and then ask you to sign in with your email address and password.

However, the question you should ask yourself is this ‘Is scam?’ ‘Is your information safe on ContactUp?’

How Does Work?

Though there are no information whatsoever on the website about how this website works, we were able to get inside information.

The website is mostly used by scammers. During your chat with them, they’d tell you to look them up on if you are having any doubts about them.

However, that is where the scam comes in.

Your credit card details would be requested for the transaction. However, when processing it, your transaction will be declined $3 booking fee.

BUT if you immediately look at your card statement there are 4 or 5 other charges for various amounts that get sent through.

Someone complained of being charged $89.00 subscription fee, $39.98 handling fee e.t.c

What You Should Know About

Number one, though this website has high trust score on Scamdoc, it doesn’t guarantee that it is scam free. is not a scam website on its own, that is why it has not been flagged down yet. HOWEVER, the website it redirects you to is where the problem lies!

According to Stephen (Our Insider), this is how this sham works-

Fake profiles on Plenty of fish dating site right now, that contact you, send a few chats, then say, sick of typing, would like to voice chat, ask if you know how to ‘activate’ voice chat, if you say no, they send you a link to page, made to look like an official of website, the ‘activate voice chat’ link then takes you to a page that is also made to appear as an official of page, this then asks you to enter your email, user name, password, then links again and asks for credit card, states no payment will be taken, simply as ‘proof of account holder’ then multiple payments for varying amounts averaging US $89 per time will be taken from your account.
