5 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Shop From

Suspicious Discount

The offers on the website look so tempting, especially the discount on all merchandize but that is one of the warning signs that shouldn’t be ignored. The biggest tip-off that a retail website is a scam is the very low price of items.

In this case, it is a bait and switch scam. Customers would receive a far inferior product from what they ordered.

Fake Business Address has provided its physical address as ‘S Brea Canyon Rd, Walnut, CA, 91789, USA’ but in reality it is a fake address. There’s no shoe store or office within that address.

Google map also shows that the address is that of a lonely road, with no business named BirkenShoe Store. On further investigations, we discovered the address has been used by some blacklisted online stores.

Poor Customer Support

The contact details for this website has a low score. Apart from a mail this website does not provide a working phone number which they can be reached with. Moreover, the email ‘[email protected]’ does not look official. It is also associated with fake Clarks store.

Negative Reviews

During our investigations, we discovered reviews on Signal-Anarques. The reviews clearly stated that the shopping website indulges in bait and switch scam. See one of such reviews below –

I ordered two pairs of Clark shoes, $39.99 each. It took a month to receive them. There are no markings on the shoes, no name, no size, and they came without a shoe box, just a piece of plastic wrap with Chinese symbols. Both pairs are the wrong size and they are cheap knockoffs. Sent email three times asking where to send them to return. No response. Caution any potential buyers, beware of this website. At very least, there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Whois Lookup

Birkenshoe Store website has only been working for two months. This makes it untrustworthy. Scammers often create new websites to steal people’s credit card information, personal information, etc.

How Does Really Work? is a fake website posing as a legit Clarks store. The owner(s) of this website makes a knock-off and sells it with the brand name of ‘Clarks’ or ‘Birkenstock’.

When the customers complain of these cheap quality shoes, the scammers offer two options- ship back the product back to them (in many cases to China) and bear the charges or get a 5-7% refund of your money.

Often times, when you try to reach them with the email on their contact Us page, they don’t respond or even reply your query form.

These factors are enough to consider the website a highly suspicious and fraudulent portal.

Conclusion is not a reliable online store to shop from. It has a poor trust score and as such not recommended by us. Customers who shop from this store would either receive a different cheap item or nothing at all.

Unreliable websites like this are not safe to shop from. This is because shopping from this store expose buyers to the risk of hacked credit card and overcharged fees.

If you you been ripped off by this store you should make a complaint to your bank and request for a chargeback immediately. It is also important that you change your credit card info or get another credit card.

It is true that online shopping has made life easier, however when ordering things online check out the following-

How old is the website? Does it provide return address? Are there customer reviews online? Do the social media icons work?

Always remember you can get the items from trusted sellers on Amazon, like the ones provided above. One of the advantages of shopping from amazon is the return policy. You can always return your items and get your money back if you are not satisfied with your order.

  1. Yes, I was a victim of this fake store!!! Sent me two pairs of garbage shoes. Spent $71. And yes, I am a idiot for buying into to these scammers. Payednwith PayPal so not sure if I can get reimbursed. Ugh!!!

  2. Don’t buy from I bought from them a pair of sandals they advertised
and sold as a trademarked Clark shoes. These were the cheapest shoes I’ve ever seen. No Clark logo anywhere. In fact nothing printed on the shoe. Ordered a size 6-61/2(37). They sent the wrong size, a 38 which is a (7-71/2). There was no leather on the shoe , which they claimed. It was vinyl. They looked nothing like what was pictured. They are such an inferior fake. Their offer was to keep the shoe(that doesn’t fit) and a $5 refund. What a joke. I have filed a claim against them through PayPal which now is in progress. We’ll see what happens. So…”Warning “), Beware of this site!
