Why Funterm.com Is Risky- Redflags Discovered

During our in-depth investigation, we discovered the following cons of this Online Store.

Fake Address

The address provided by funterm.com is fake and in no way linked to the store. When you search for the address on Google map, you’d realize the address belongs to a residential home.

We believe this is enough red-flag to stay away from this store.

Unbelievable Discount

Funterm.com uses it low price as a bait to make you shop from them. As we have observed from many fraudulent websites, this is just a way for them to get shoppers trooping to their store. It doesn’t mean they would fulfill their end of the bargain.

Suspicious Nature Of Funterm Com

Apart from the points mentioned above, we find other reasons why we think this e-commerce is not a safe store to shop from. Below are reasons why you shouldn’t shop from febsale.com –

  • Funterm.com provides fake social media buttons. When you click on them, they don’t take you to any social media page.
  • This store was registered few months back, so it has no history.
  • The website is not a safe place, as it was hastily done. We believe legitimate online stores would invest in a standard website, not this untidy theme used by Funterm store.
  • We came across their ads on Facebook, for hot tubs, inflatable pools, but when we visited the website on a different browser we realized this store deals female wears. This screams scam!

What We Found about Funterm.com!

At first glance, Funterm.com appears to be a legitimate online store selling female wears. However, on further investigation, the store provides fake social media buttons, fake address, and was registered barely weeks ago.

Just like Stylishmodewe, Peiwq, Patchamperes, Playsetskids, Noatanice, kznice, this store lures you with low prices, but when you order for the items, you might not anything.

If you have been scammed by these lots, we advise you to immediately file a report with your bank. This would stop these lots from tampering with your account details in the future.

    1. yes, figured it was linked to Paypal for payment was ok. I was wrong, after putting in claim it was denied in 5 minutes and case closed. I just don’t know how they did it to have a UPS tracking number to show it was delivered. The strange thing was the delivery started even before the order was placed. 8 days before? incredible!!

      1. Robert….

The way this scam works is by using. A loop hole in paypals. Weak verification process. When you open a claim with paypal in order to deny your claim and release payment to the seller, PayPal only requires two things.

First is a tracking number. Provided to them by the seller. The second thing they require is proof that the package. Associated with that tracking number shows as being delivered to your zip code. Thats it.

So here is how the scam plays out. You purchase a high dollar item using PayPal. The seller ships out either an empty package or a package with something of minimal value in it. They dont ship it to you. They only need to ship it to someone who has the same zip code as you. Once they ship out this empty package, the shipping carrier gives the seller a tracking number.

Which they then give to PayPal. A few days later PayPal goes online and punches in the tracking number. It shows that it was delivered and for security reasons it will not show who it was delivered to or the street address. It only shows the zip code.

So now paypals two verifications have been met and they deny your claim and release the payment shortly there after unless you appeal.

Do you see the problem. Because PayPal only requires a tracking number. Zip code. And proof of delivery. They assume the shipper has listed you on the shipping label. But the shipper didn’t. They put someone else on the label. We will just use as an example Jim smith. Who has the same zip code as you. Jim Smith receives a package witb either nothing inside or something of very little value. And a note saying congratulations enjoy your free Kay chain or what ever. Jim Smith has no clue why he has received this small item and goes about his business.

You never receive a package but PayPal releases your money to the seller because they think you did. After all the tracking number shows a package as being delivered.

PayPal tells you to call the shipping carrier to file a dispute with them if you say you never received a package.

So you call the shipping carrier and explain that you never received the package. And you give them the tracking number and they in turn tell you that they did deliver that package but thats All they will tell you because your name and your address was not the information listed on the shipping label.

See the problem. PayPal didnt verify that the seller shipped the item to you. So the seller is out the cost of shipping and the small gift they gave to Jim. But they got to keep all your money for the high dollar item you bought and was never shipped out.

And if PayPal doesnt fix this loophole. There will be a lot of denied claims and release funds to the scammers
